This position provides technical and functional support for MS Dynamics GP, Accellos Collect, and other associated business applications. Responsible for providing first level help desk support, performing various ERP backend database tasks to resolve issues, and ERP project related tasks as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists end users in resolving hardware and software issues by fielding support tickets, telephone calls and emails, diagnosing problems and performing troubleshooting activities for routine to moderately complex issues.
Responsible for monitoring and assigning help desk tickets to appropriate MIS resource.
Serve as primary backup for EDI functions and other ERP related tasks.
Manage short-term, standard projects such as compilation of special reports, assisting with system management to plan and complete projects, utilizing Microsoft Project as needed.
Support and maintain Microsoft Dynamics GP software and related 3rd party and using Microsoft Dynamics GP customization tools to import, update and modify data.
Manipulate and analyze data to respond to business questions from various functional teams within the company.
Work with and support IT staff by performing various tasks associated with ERP systems support and projects.
Modify and maintain various forms using SSRS, Crystal Reports and/or Microsoft Dynamics GP report writer.
Work with senior level support, consultants, or other outside vendors to resolve issues that cannot be addressed with in-house expertise.
Establish and maintain technical documentation and standard procedures.
Hands-on experience and/or knowledge of an ERP system, specifically Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains), highly preferred.
Hands-on experience and/or working knowledge of VBA, Visual Studio 2008, SQL, Server 2008, desired.
Proficient with report writers, SQL Reporting Services and SQL/VB Script experience, and Crystal Reports.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including advanced knowledge of Excel and Access.
