    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Summary:

    Sarnova’s Emergency Preparedness (EP) division is one of Sarnova’s fastest growing segments, which focuses primarily on EMS/Fire, Community Preparedness, Alt Care and Fed. Agencies across 3 unique businesses.  The Product Manager for Emergency Preparedness would be responsible for developing and executing clearly defined business and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth within these core markets, as well as identify growth opportunities within adjacent markets. This position requires an individual who is a strong strategic thinker with solid analytical skills to monitor and drive category performance.  This individual must be a strong collaborator that can lead critical initiatives in a fast-pasted environment with cross-functional teams to achieve positive results for assigned product categories.   

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage and drive profitable growth and attainment of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) within assigned categories across 3 business units.
    • Develop and deploy various strategies to drive growth within core markets and identify opportunities for additional growth and differentiation in adjacent market.
    • Develop, present and implement portfolio business plans for specific and multiple product lines and market channels including management of pricing, supplier relationships, go-to-market strategies, and product positioning.
    • Create, execute and manage EP marketing programs and materials to include company catalogs, online initiatives, advertising, sales force support materials, trade show marketing efforts, and supplier marketing programs.
    • Conduct market surveillance of assigned categories to stay ahead of trends and to deploy strategies to maintain market leadership position.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Operations to ensure revenue and service metrics are met for assigned categories.
    • Provide and/or facilitate product training of Sales, Customer Service, and Bids Teams.
    • Monitor the marketplace and competition, perform market and competitive analysis, and adjust marketing plans and initiatives accordingly.

     

    Qualifications:  

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.  MBA strongly preferred.
    • Medical/Clinical or sales experience in healthcare preferred.
    • A minimum of three years product management or business management experience with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility.
    • Experience in a value-added distribution industry, business-to-business selling environment, or the health care products industry desired.

     

     

    Skills/Experience Required:

    • Demonstrated experience with product/category management, positioning, customer segmentation, pricing and communication strategies.
    • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, influence and communicate at all levels.
    • Strong business and analytical acumen with ability to plan and forecast on a national level and by product category.

    ·         Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight with strong history of execution.

    ·         Exceptional project management and organization skills with attention to details.

    • Experience working with and directing creative strategies and tactics.
    • Understanding of new product launch processes and/or rebranding coupled with an innovative, entrepreneurial mind set.

    ·         Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight with strong history of execution.

    ·         Develop, present and implement portfolio business plans for multiple product Lines. Responsibilities include management of pricing, supplier relationships, go-to-market

    ·         Experience working with contracts from creating and redlining to negotiating and finalizing through interfacing with customers, manufacturers and Legal.

    • Demonstrated positive energy to effectively represent products/brands internally and externally.
    • Ability to pull together and analyze data to articulate trends and provide insights that drive the business.
    • Experience with effective supplier relationship management.
    • Computer literacy:  Microsoft Office Suite and CRM.
