    Responsibilities and Qualifications

    Summary:

    The Sales Support Representative is responsible for providing sales support to the Tri-anim based outside and inside sales teams. The individual will be responsible for running and analyzing sales reports for additional customer follow-up and to support inside/outside sales representatives with customer follow-up. Responsibilities include fulfilling product requests, literature requests, marketing campaigns, providing information on shipping and service inquiries, and pricing and quoting items. 

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Review and follow-up on backorders daily.
    • Be able to research and provide technical and manufacturer product specs including searching for new or hard to find products that customers request.
    • Help resolve and communicate customer issues related to backorders, delivery times, product substitutions and pricing.
    • Research alternative products for customers including existing and research possible comparable new item options.  New item set up.
    • Assist with drop shipments or overnight deliveries requested by customers.
    • Assist with bids and pricing requests.
    • Help ensure the proper samples, studies and literature are sent to customers for product evaluations.
    • Assist with quotes for customers and for complex capital quotes.
    • Resolve customer complaints and assist with returned items.  Collaborate with regulatory department on defective products.
    • Support sales with all aspects of the sales process for customers, and customers in remote locations.
    • Analyze and run reports in Excel.
    • Monitor Account Managers’ questions and complaints and act as a liaison between the Account Manager and various company departments.
    • Participate in product training classes.
    • May maintain records and assist in the preparation of required reports.
    • Maintain positive professional communication with all Account Managers, customers, and departments.
    • Assist sales team in configuring complex product solutions such as hose assemblies, blenders, custom products and other specialty products and equipment.
    • Interact with customers and manufacturers for customer needs.
    • Provide assistance to Account Managers by resolving product and process inquiry/providing guidance in oral/written form.
    • Process specialty promotion orders.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Two plus years in a Sales Support Role or Customer Service position with a proven track record of success.
    • Clinical experience with technical respiratory parts preferred but not required.

    • Ability to consult and assess needs of sales organization and serve as strategic problem-solver.
    • Sound judgment and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and develop alternative solutions.
    • Able to use a computerized data entry and/or computer tracking system.
    • Strong researching skills.
    • Strong note taking skills with the ability to organize and follow.
    • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers, customers and suppliers.
    • Motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects.
    • Ability to work independently successfully.
    • Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

     

    Travel Requirement

    • Occasional travel required to Ohio for onsite training including attendance and participation in the National Sales Meeting.
    • Ongoing training and development as it relates to products, sales and the industry.  Training may include live on-site training, webinars, and conference calls.
